The Col du Soulor and Col d'Aubisque loop is one of the most spectacular cycling experiences in the world. This 70 km loop combines two legendary cols with the breathtaking Cirque du Litor — a road literally carved into the cliffside.

The Route

Start from Argelès-Gazost and climb the Col du Soulor (7.8 km at 6.2%). From the summit, instead of descending, continue west on the Cirque du Litor — a narrow, spectacular road that clings to the mountainside for 8 km. This leads to the Col d'Aubisque, which you climb from the south. Descend the classic north side back toward the valley.

Why It's Special

The Cirque du Litor is unlike any road you've ever cycled. It's narrow, dramatic, and vertiginous, with the mountain on one side and a sheer drop on the other. The Aubisque itself is one of the most dramatic climbs in cycling. Together, they create an unforgettable day.
